Le duo de Southampton relocalisé à Berlin revient avec un quatrième album sur le label de Geoff Barrow, Invada Records. Ce dernier invita Nicholas Wood et sa partenaire, Kat Day, à enregistrer dans son studio. Of desire est leur disque le plus abouti à ce jour. Les arrangements et l'instrumentation puisent leurs influences dans le travail de Death In Vegas, Scott Walker ou encore Roxy Music. The KVB a réussi à créer quelque chose d'à la fois familier, inventif et original.
