La légende folk britannique publie un recueil de chansons anglaises, américaines et acadiennes datant du 16ème siècle jusqu'aux années 1950, après 35 ans d'absence ! Née à Hastings en 1935, elle se fascine pour la folk dès son enfance. Elle joue un rôle primordial dans le renouveau de cette musique avec plus d'une douzaine d'albums. Atteinte de dysphonie dans les années 80, Shirley Collins perd sa voix et se retire de la scène musicale, c'est en 2014 qu'elle chante à nouveau devant un public et ce pour la première fois depuis 1982.
