Il magnifie comme personne la croisée de différentes cultures. Tout d'abord celle de son héritage Maori et ensuite celle du Delta du Mississippi où il puise ses racines blues. Le résultat est proprement époustouflant car Grant Haua possède tout ce qui fait les plus grands : une voix grave, profonde, intense, une facilité mélodique déconcertante et enfin une technique instrumentale sidérante. Tout simplement unique !
