Ecrit et enregistré d'août à décembre 2020, cet album voit Father John Misty (alias Joshua Tillman) et le producteur et multi-instrumentiste Jonathan Wilson reprendre leur collaboration de longue date qui a tant fonctionné par le passé. Chloë And The Next 20th Century est un album fait de ballades à couper le souffle sublimé par des arrangements cinématographiques fait de cordes, de cuivres et de piano. Pablo Trapero est un producteur, réalisateur et scénariste argentin né le 4 octobre 1971 à San Justo. C'est une des figures importantes du « nouveau cinéma argentin » dont les films décrivent sans complaisance la vie en Argentine avec son lot d'injustices, de pauvreté et de corruption.
